Raising $50,000 for the Heart Foundation

Proudly supporting the Heart Foundation
I have been very busy lately – not translating or posting on this blog, as you can see – organising a massive online fundraising campaign for the Heart Foundation.

The Heart Foundation, is an Australian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to heart health. It was established in 1959 and is therefore celebrating it’s 50th birthday this year! So we came up with a rather unusual present – an online fundraising campaign that will raise $50,000 in 50 days in celebration of the Heart Foundation’s 50th birthday.

Since it’s establishment 50 years ago, the Heart Foundation has helped achieve significant heart health advancements, such as the introduction of pacemakers, lobbying the Australian telecommunications provider Telstra to establish the emergency ‘000’ number, introducing intensive coronary care units in hospitals, new treatments for lowering blood cholesterol and high blood pressure and pioneering healthier food choices through the Tick program.

To make sure the Heart Foundation can continue the good work in the next 50 years, we need to help raise money. So please come and visit our 50K Challenge website, and donate to the good cause!
